It won many awards - and is ranked as one of the greatest movies of all time. Brilliant -( google it.)Three academy awards out of eight for which it was nominated in 1962 three global awards and in 1963 the film won an award at the Cannes Film Festival. The novel by Harper Lee (who became a recluse) was published in 1960 and instantly won the Pullizer Prize. Really my favorite film. The name "Scout" on this site already taken ottherwise I would have felt so privileged to have this. BRILLIANT film and not to be missed.
