I'll never forget the bar scene when Tom Cruise sang the song "You've lost that Loving Feeling" (I think that was the song). That took a lot of guts for a man to sing a love song (unless drunk) to a total stranger. Loved that scene!
Mycatsmom, Chiangmai is right the scene is from Top Gun, it didn't take guts to do that scene, he's an actor playing a character.
chiangmai - the first picture looks like Mia Farrow but it is not as I worked for her in Los Angeles and here - It is the cheek bones which are similar.

Kelly came out of the closet a while back. Looks like her girl friend threw a beating on her. (must have found those Tom Cruise letters)

west-bus - it is not Mia Farrow - I worked for her in Los Angeles and here. Must say the first picture resembles her and I thought for a minute.

west-bus - it is not Mia Farrow - I worked for her in Los Angeles and here but must say the first picture resembles her - it's the cheek bones - which are very beautiful in the Great Gatsby but she is not nearly as good an actress as Kelly McGillis.

i just said her for fun,dead opposite to kelly, an English actress in the fifties which was properly her age, overweight and played a sleuth, a much earlier version of Murder She Wrote. The poms should know of her.

Hey! Don't take it to heart Poppy.I'm only having fun.Tell me,How did Mia treat you?Was she married to Frank at the time? That would have been interesting.
Tommy - no she wasn't married to darling blue eyes - She absolutely adored him - I went with her to see Frank Sinatra on Bel Air - I was in the car and he said hello. Met many interesting people. Mia treated me well but Oh Boy I thought I was crazy - she was so avant garde.he said she had such a bad life,would you believe. I ONLY looked after the kids, just had to leave and Andre Previn said he would give me anything to stay - they then got two nurses for the children - story of my life. Only worked for them for about a year but Oh my it was great but she was so can't remember the word lets say fey. Beautiful and we got on sort of Ok - such a long story all of this. When we were in Malibu Elizabth Taylor asked us to visit and I said I was too tired, Mia said OK she'll only put down the red carpet etc. Wish I had gone now so very exquisite she was in those days just gorgeous and such a good Mother. I was treated like one of the family. Previn and I would go to the Festival Hall every week in his chauffer driven car, he was the conducter for the London Synphony Orchestra for the longest time - just amazing. Has a whole cottage thatched separate to the house full of music and when he played the piano in the house on the rare occasion - just amazing. I also went to their wedding with twins in tow. Well Tommy you did ask - not a lot of people know this (met him also) - never spoke of this at work.
Oh yeah Tommyh BTW not BWT - it's the age you know - my memory! Miss the lovely picture in your garden. BTW in the end it was just a job - interesting yes, kids great and of course the music.

chiangmai - I just love this actress Kelly McGillis - I did not know she was a sex symbol but didn't see the film with Tom Cruise I guess. I have watched that lovely film "Witness" many times though. I must add I knew it was not Mia Farrow because I worked for her in Los Angeles and here.
