    how does the color gold relate to the biblical times?

    because in the bible, it's says the streets of heaven are paved with gold. Another reference to gold is when Moses comes down from the mountain top, with the stone tablets that God inscribed for him with the 10 Commandments........only to see that the jewish people had made themselves a huge idol out of gold. He was really p-----d about that.....after all the work he and God went to . One of the commandments said , " Thou shalt not make unto you any graven images."

    All the work he and God went through? What work did God do? God could have made those stones in a nano second, no work at all for Him. I think Moses made them up and hand chiseled them which is why he was up there so long. His old hands were probably sore as heck by the time he was done, sore and weak which is probably why he dropped a tablet. Sucked to be him. He had to go chisel another one, lol. Did you know that research shows the copy was not worded the same as the original? God made a lot of mistakes in the Old Testament (if the story is going to stick that God made the stones/tablets). So much for perfection....
