Nice picture.
I had a cat fish just like the one on the left. I loved him. He was more like a dog and he loved to be pat on his little (ish) fish head.

Apparently about 50% of fish eaten is artificially raised. I am not sure if this is good or not, certainly farmed salmon causes a great deal of pollution around salmon farms, and the fish do not have the same taste as wild salmon.

I have read that there is no comparison between farmed and wild and that farmed, has far less food value. The recommendation is always against farmed fish.

This includes skeletal fish (Osteichthyes), cartilaginous fish (Chondrichthyes), and jawless fish (Agnatha). While a large number of species have been discovered and described, approximately 250 new species are officially described by science each year. According to FishBase, 32,200 species of fish had been described by March 2012.[1] There are more fish species than the combined total of all other vertebrates: mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds.[citation needed]
The practice of ichthyology is associated with marine biology, limnology and fisheries science. People who study ichthyology are called ichthyologists.
