Yes... but schooling is only a part of education. Without the "street smarts and some wisdom" to go along with it, it's not much good. The best combination, if you're fortunate enough, is to have some of each. I have known people with little or no education, who were highly successful because they were intelligent thinkers and real doers. I've also known some with 3 degrees behind their name, who were complete "duds", because they had no smarts and no work ethic.

Yes. 2. but I now need to change careers...so I am hoping to return to school- if I can get scholarships. But, Please Note...Living is a continuous learning experience. I am impressed with ALL of YOU ! I do not choose Friends, (websites like akaQA), by whether or not they have gone to college or not...I choose them for who they are.

I fell just a tad short of a degree. An investigation revealed that I was a perpetrator in this incident. I was expelled shortly thereafter. http://youtu.be/u48PvBTl3u8

Presently I do not reside near a University library. I’ve studied in big libraries most of my life but have no degree. I have assisted professors and have taken many classes without credit. I have taught a few college courses for absent teachers and friends. I worked in libraries doing research for students in masters programs and for writers. When I realized how little students learn in four years compared with what I could learn outside the classroom I realized how silly it is to get a degree when you can learn far more on your own. I graded text books used in colleges to recommend changes that would benefit the educational process in several subjects. I prefer reading as a method of learning. Teachers are not that interesting or motivating, generally, to keep me in a seat for very long.

When I went to college I could not even afford to buy books for 2 weeks. I was determined to get a B.A. and wanted to get a job helping people. When I graduated with a B.A. in experimental psychology everybody in my family and neighbors were so happy because I was the first to go to college in my family. My mother even went back and got a degree after she saw me do it. I also went to graduate school for counseling and got bored and dropped out and took a county government test and got a job as a counselor at an alternative jail for women. Have worked as a social worker and counselor for kids and families for over 20 years. With that said it does not matter! What really really matters in life is that, as someone else said, find what you like and do it. Do what makes YOU happy. It might need a degree. It might not. I was happy about getting a degree in pyschology because, as you all know, I am so curious about what makes us people tick. It's great fun for me and its fun hearing about everybody else on this site and things that have occurred on their life's journey. LOL
