TSC... you are one unusual guy!

No I didn't hitch hike as I was the Queen of "Getting us all home, safely and in one piece" ... I had a homing pigeon installed in my brain. 

I once I piled all of my friends and the guy who owned the car into his Dodge Charger and drove each and every one of us home while he shifted and I drove...He picked his car up the next day. That is the closest I ever came to hitch hiking.

A friend of mine did (The same night)....She got into the car with about 6 guys and basically read then the riot act ... they were too scared to do anything other than drop her off on the front step.

When I think about all the stupid things my friends and I did ... it is a miracle any of us lived to tell the tale.

Like Tommy i hitch hiked in  the 60's but it was a lot safer to do so, occasionally i see female/ females hitch hiking which is down right stupid now adays, i never stop to give them a lift, as they can cry anything and you are in trouble.

When I was a kid it was relatively safe.But that was in the early '60s. I wouldn't let my kids do it now tho.

Yes, when I was in college.  I would never do it today.  It's too dangerous.

One day I was hitching in Bloomington, Indiana (it's 3+ hours from Chicago) and someone gave me a ride.  He asked if I wanted to party with him.  I asked who we would party with and he said "Just the two of us."  I declined his invitation.  Years later I found out that the man that night was John Wayne Gacy.  For those of you who are not familiar with this man, he was responsible for the killing of many young boys in the Chicago area and buried them in the crawl space of his house.

Yep, I sure did in the early 80's. Went from Boston to Seaford, DE. Back in Austin I would hitch to work and so did my brother when I was too lazy to take him...........

when I was a teenager yes I did but would never do it now mind you who would stop! and have never picked up a hitch hiker either

No, I've never hitch hiked.  I've walked miles and miles and miles instead.

Though I've never hitch-hiked myself, my cousin and I picked up a couple of HH in Oregon and took them to SF with us.  Everyone got along and it was a good time.  It was 1973.

Nope and not likely too and I sure as h*** would not pick that up.

Yes, I used to HITCH HIKE, I would ride my bike up to the side of the horse & buggies and grab on..............lol...jk

Yes, I used to hitch a lot as teen,some times even home from dance in early am. During nice weather, I used to take my small dog on lead. Found I got lifts quicker, as I was often told, Im only giving you a lift, cause they were dog lovers. My little dog would sit on my lap, with her paws on my shoulder, looking out. So, instead of saying to my dog, lets go walkie, I say, lets go hitching, she get so excited, and barking. Im sure she knew what I meant.  Thoes were days. Where are the decent people now.

No, never picked one up  either. But i sure hope Giants keep going. I have Manning, Nicks, Manningham, Jacobs , in my fantasy football still.

when i was a teen me and two of my friends HH everywhere.  i even HH by myself, everywhere.  Until one day it dawned on me i could get into trouble.  i would not HH today.   too many crazies driving around.  the movies have taught people how to be mean and evil and act ugly.  no way today.

Someone ask the question would you have trouble to saying [no] well this one would be hard for me say no to,of course I know better not to pick up stranger HH. still can say no, although in all my younger days I've never seen anyone looking like that HH.
