If he is in prison, the prison system has a duty of care to give whatever medical treatment is needed/required.I am glad that i am not one of his carers at the Hospice, as i would be dismissed from my job for letting him fall out of bed , giving him a very hot shower, and maybe some wrong medication.

he would be getting it easy going to jail and if he was due for the hospice then i would just take him out back and shoot the bastard

I dont understand what you think the meaning of Hospice care is.... It is not a vacation or spa resrot.. it is sad, ugly, but compassionate... Death is not pretty... Unless this person is in a coma.. (depending on the disease) he is going to be in pain he is going to need to be fed and cleaned. This is not a service the a hospital or prision can offer.

I am looking forward to his death.
Provoking conversation...He was not put to death, and I have a strong suspicion he was not in the general prison population (or he would have died a mysterious death "they" could never solve), so, was he in solitary??? Count yourselves lucky- my state releases terminally ill patients. I can only wonder if he has asked forgiveness for his awful terrible crimes from God? I worked hospice and I would have had a tremendously difficult time being compassionate to him. Sure, I would have provided care..but My guess is I would have been silent in doing so.

If the prison released him for being terminally ill, I wouldn't give him more than two steps off the prison property.
Pedophelia is a psychological disorder, almost short for mental illness. I understand your anger. But hospice does what is designed to do, take care of terminilly sick people, no matter who they are.

I understand - most definitely a gruesome character - but here I go - I will be called a bleeding heart again. Regardless of his heinous crimes - if in need of hospice care he should get this - I come from a place where I would be obliged to care for him and would without prejudice hopefully.

He should receive the same quality care every other inmate receives.

Personally, I think his going to a hospice is more a thing of it being a place that is geared to most effectively deal with the last stages of life. It would be hard not to despise someone like that, or feel some very real hostility toward them. But, in being a human being yourself, being designated with the responsibility of dealing with an individual like that, how far below acting with any decency at all do you allow yourself to be dragged down. How far down do we allow ourselves to stoop, over one very despicable man? Hm...maybe they should have just given him the death penalty, for he really sounds like an individual with no redeeming qualities at all. Especially when he blames everyone else for what he did himself...that in itself should have been a qualifying factor in determining a death penalty for him.

There is no real hospice care in a prison setting. Nobody gives a damn about him , except the family. Probably the only reason the family is there is to claim whatever property he has, and to arrange for the state to bury him in a state cemetary for convicts. Yes let him have it. Last few days of life like that is very painful , and what he needs is medication by needle. Painful. He deserves no outside freeworld medical assistance.
