They will do their Business in familiar places. Clean the wee and poo stains with Biological washing powder which will get rid of the smell. Put orange peel or pepper in these places and it should stop the cat.
It didn't stop mine however, he did it everywhere bless 'im...I spent my entire existence until he died sniffing out nasty smells around the house

If your cat is female, she maybe stressed,could be trying to get your attention, or she has problem with her health. Take her to Vet. Hope link will give you more information.

Tough one.  Keep the litter boxes very clean.  (Place them in hospitable places)

Show the cat where the litter boxes are.

Cross your fingers.

As has already been said make sure litter tra is very clean, also get a cat door, ask your local pet shop for a plug in device containing ferromones (probably not spelled correctly) this releases a smell that relaxes and minimizes stress in felines

trade it in for a dog!
