Because the person asking the question:
1. Is bored or lonely and will ask anything just to see if he/she gets an answer.
2. Believes that clicking on the "Ask a Question" button is a contact link to the site they are browsing.
3. Wants shock value so he/she asks a raunchy question.
4. Is using this site to help with their homework.
I can't believe there are so many people out there that know how to turn on a computer but don't know how to map a route from point A to point B.

In my estimates more than 90% of all questions are unanswered and continue to jam the traffic on akaQA freeway. i suggested (as part of one of my questions) that "questions that remain unanswered for more than a month" to be automatically removed. My suggestion was not noticed or ignored or not supported. Would review it now and react?

When I ask questions more likely I need opionions from others beside myself. It's nice to hear the hard facts/perspectives ,even at times,as hard as it is for me to hear... regardless answers coming from others are appreciated and usually sound differently (hope I use the word correctly).
So, I dont post questions b/c I'm bored, at times I hope no one found them meaningless. I speak for others, I wouldn't waste my times or others to sit here infront of computer and posting my questions.

We are a question and answer help forum. They question because they are looking for help. There is nothing on the forum saying the questions can only be exciting and fun. : )

FF, Copy your kiln Q in your new comment box. I'll look at it and answer.
mycatsmom, i think the questions would be less confusing if you would first change your name. Just really kidding. But that name is funny to me, since that name, mycatsmom, asked this particular question. However, my question on the truthful side is, have you ever seen a question on this site that was not boring, meaningless and confusing. I love a lot of the questions and wish i had more time to answer more of them. Give us an idea of what would be a good question for you. LOL

It could be the line used to entice visitors. It could be people trying to shock and disgust. It does seem that many of the distance, time, product questions have ended up here by misfortune. It's too bad there are so many UNanswered questions that don't have the "meat" in them that some of us seek. They turn up in much larger numbers. Sometimes I'll post an "I don't know" just to get it off the "front page".

I don't knows are not what the admin want to see. They actually delete the I don't know answers and move the question back to the unanswered side. This is a new task just given to me recently so I will be doing the same so don't waste your time with the I don't know answer. Just leave it and go to the next question that you can answer.
According to some answers and comments these questions are boring, meaningless, and confusing only to walflowers.
I didn't have a chance to look it up into a slang dictionary, I don't know yet what a wallflower is escept I and you could be...

A lot of them want research. I'm not about researching for other people. Maybe it's our responsibility?
