    $2.25 is the answer.  It is derived from multiplying $45 times .05 (that's the decimal form of 5%)

    I do not do homework in here I work all day damned if I will do anyone's homework for them.

    Here's a trick 10% of $45.00 is $4.50 (note how th numbers moved back ) 1/2 0f 10% is 5% so 4.50 div. by 2= 2.25 . Ta da! It is too complex to explain the percentages of Emu eggs to geese eggs to robin eggs- ask next year.
