Let me tell you about how important your eyes are. Now there are people that can look at your eye take a picture of the cornea and tell you about your life. I went to one he told me i had a broken lower left leg, about at 11 years old. He told me i had a broken left arm at 13. Both very accurate . When your body experiences a trauma or unusual incident your eye will imprint like a history in it. These exams will tell you your health. Wow.

There are some diseases that can be discovered in an eye consult, some more severe than others. Some symptoms for this diseases can be seen in an eye consult :  for example, broken blood vessels in the eye are a sign for diabetes and hypertension can cause hypertensive retinopathy (damage of the blood vessels in the retina), dizziness and blurry vision may mean some neurological problems and so on.

That's why is good to do an eye consult once a year, at least. Because, among other disease, the eye doctor can discover some eye related problems for you may need (or not) eye surgery like myopia or cataract (there is a connection between diabetes and eye problems too).
