I v'e forgot what they are called but they can sometimes be Knocked in with a large book see your Doctor it's normally a type of Gristle if i recall the name I'll post it for you .

    ROMOS

    It,s a ganglion dunc.
    dunc

    Thankyou

Lumps should be shown to your doctor,it could be anything.

One of my friends gets  a lump on her wrist occasionally.  It's a cyst like dunc and ROMOS said in dunc's answer.  And, like pythonlover said, get it check out.  My friend's doesn't need to be removed, but it causes pain at times.

yep..could be a ganglion...the usual way to diagnose this,my Late Dad,a GP..Taught me..is to shine a pen torch on it...and if the lump appears blue or rainbow colours its the sign its a ganglion!!...He wouldn`t let me hit it with a Bible:-0..As he said "why ruin a good bible?"!!!lol....It is a harmless lump of gristle(yuck)!!..But they usually go eventually!..mine comes back from time to time!:-)..I`VE ACTUALLY grown quite attatched to it!!!:-))LOL!!.....However the usual crap I spout is...please see your GP if you are worried that it could be something else!!...i`m a nurse..I have to cover myself as am not allowed to diagnose!

    good luck!love millie xx

Chance are it is benign but get it looked at. It's a subcutaneous cyst, that much I do know. Ask your doctor....

Could be several things. Don't ask medical advise from anyone other than a practicing physician.
