Ask for a sedative, it helps.

You can be given  sedative/relaxant  medication, and the MRI technician will allow you short breaks whilst getting the scan.

I took a sedative and they put a cup towel over my face, that helped a lot..............

My friend had one recently and she is claustrophobic They gave her sedatives and played her favorite music. She  made it through but the music is what helped her the most.

Tell the Dr. he will  order something for you to relax.
