I would contact wildlife rescue, or the equivalent, they will then decide how to catch it and where to re locate, if necessary, I pick up lots of animals and have found after rescue they are almost always returned to the place I picked them up from, they are territorial and prefer to be where they have made their "home", I might add I did pick an owl up one night that was sitting in the middle of the road, he didn't seem to mind and I put on a fencepost nearby, I am currently waiting on the wildlife team as I have yet another injured animal, a quail I think. Soooo ashamed, my cat  bought this one in!!

Why would you want to do that, is it somewhere it,s not supposed to be? If so you can call your local animal welfare.

Owls are awesome I can't imagine trying to relocate one. Leave him be to keep your area free of rodents

In all seriousness Owls who r frightened can scratch u with their talons (claws) and can really hurt u if they use their beak!!!!!!!!!!  Otherwise, they won't come near you.  They have stronger wing bones than many other birds- but they can still break.  If the owl in endanger then I will help you find help. If the owl is keeping you up at night please know that you will get used to it (even a screech owl).

Why R u relocating it???

Put up a sign that states  "free mice"
