As long as he's not choking, don't worry about it. If he appears sick in a day or two, has trouble eating, coughs a lot or shows blood in his stool, take him to a vet.

keep a very close eye on your dog if he sick call the vet if he starts to cough call the vet You must never give chicken bones or any bone that has been cooked as they splinter

The biggest worry is the tiny bones- they can scrape the inestinal lining and cause bleeding.  This is rare.  Please read Colleens advice (above) and if you see any blood in the dog's stools (aka poop) or it's stools are very dark blackish brown or black that is a sign of bleeding.  Doolittle, of course, hopes that your dog stays well!

It they make it through the bone without shoking.. that is the first step... After that you need to be concerned about an impacted intestineal tract.. Chicken bones do not brake down like other things the dog eats... You may see white stool that is almost cement like.. It so.. Take the dog to the vet.. .He will need to be treated.

He seems ok.The lollipop stick was a worry at the time though,it was a couple of years ago .Moral of that one is ,if he gets the last bit of an ice lolly now ,you hold on damn tight to the stick

Must admit my dog wound up with some of the turkey bones yesterday. The rest went out to the dustbin otherwise hed have cleared the kitchen one to get them.Worse thing he ever swallowed(whole!)was a wooden lollipop stick...
