Everyone,s entitled to their own opinion on anything, not all will agree, it,s up to you, and you alone who or what you vote for, no one can tell you different.

You have every right to vote the way you see fit.  Just tell them to bugger off.

It's called propaganda, any try to get your own party to win. Just keep your head on tight and vote for whom you wish............

Do they think that, or are they simply trying to have a discussion about a topic that interests them and (obviously) you?

Doesn't it make life much more interesting when you are able to have lively discussions with people, agreeing or disagreeing?  Personally, I can hotly disagree with someone and still like them a lot!  As far as voting, it still is a secret ballot, so I'm quite sure that you will be able to mark your X, whereever you like!

...and listen carefully to the candidates to find out what they believe.

There are three dangerous topics 1) politics 2) religion 3) sex....because people believe what they believe and MANY will try to convince you that there way is the ONLY RIGHT WAY... just tell people you do not discuss politics and walk away if they insist on talking about it!!!!

It's merely a suggestion, made with excruciating forcefulness.  Just ignore it.  

You cannot control others except yourself.  Vote for your favorite, not others'.

You can vote for whomsoever you wish, but if you lived in Australia, we'd tell you whom to vote for...heh...

Everyone has an opinion, and its often unfortunate some choose to inflict this strongly on others,I usually avoid confrontational debates on politics, I don't however mind discussing issues proposed, or politics in a calm and reasonable manner, we often discuss government issues at work, and at the pub over a beer.

Who are these people? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion however wrong.  Every voter can vote for the candidate of their choice however bad. Just don't go on the street if you are not happy with the results of the election.

Your opinions are your own, so don't give your power to others. Remember that free advice is usually worth what you pay for it!

... and in a country like ours we really deserve (like them or not) the leaders we (including the ones that have the right to vote but don't )  ellect.

Most people don't want to tell you how to vote. They want to persuade you that you are wrong and theirs is the correct position.
