    is there something that can be done with people who sign up for Christmas presents at several locations

    I heard yesterday at price chopper two younger people having a conversation about  people they knew who had signed up here in O'Burg, then went to Canton and Gouverneur to get presents and food..It makes giving and trying to help those who need it  not worth it. I know in the past this has happened,but thought we had the problem solved.Also these people are the ones missuing food stamps, and are very ovefrweight and will be diabetic. WE really need to address this in our county-at thefedreal level.

      There are needy people and there are GREEDY people , a lot of the really needy are very proud and won,t seek the help that is out there, they need to be informed of these efforts that people are doing for them in a more discreet manner. VISIT THEIR HOMES, FACE TO FACE CONTACT, LET THEM KNOW YOU ARE THERE FOR THEM, WORKS HERE, WHY NOT THERE?

        I'm one of the proud,and I know that I should seek the help that is out there for me,but I can't seem to do it,as I said I'm too proud and I should'nt be I know,and for that my wife and I won't have a Chrismas dinner or I should say not much of one.

        Did you ever think about the reverse Rick, these people are wanting to help, they feel just as hurt when you refuse their help,give them a shot mate, I know it helps , been ,seen,done, do it mate,NO SHAME. R.

        Rick the people that really want to help people in need think of it this way you are making them miss their blessings when you do not accept their offering. You have nothing to be ashamed of whatsoever. You are loved and the people that do that only want to help and to them that is a blessing to them to be able to help please accept it for their sakes as well as yours. We all need a helping hand at one time or another and I know that you would be the kind of person that when you could would help someone else in need so please ask and receive their help in your time of need.
