    for me to retire from my current job when the policy is I must have 80 years total including my period of working and ae combine at this time I have 23 years 7months and 4 days and am55 year and9 day please calculate

    As a Texas State Employee the rule of 80 years applies it must include time worked and age.I have 23 years 7 months and 4 days and am  55 years old and 9 days,


    , thank I am still working so that is were my confusion comes in . continue to work my time continues to add up. it just baffles me just wondering.

    It appears you have a little less than two and a half years before you can retire. That's not too bad. It's still earlier than a lot of people will be able to retire.
