NO!!!!!!! But the court can on their behalf. Only the judge can do this !!!!!!!! All empty threats by credit card companies to scare you . Complete BS . A lien on the property means nothing unless you sell the property .More BS!!!!!! You can bond around the lien for 15% of the debt and still sell. No escape for the garnishment ,if you keep the job they will attack you there ,but again this can only be ordered by the JUDGE !!!!!!!!! Filing a skeleton Bankruptcy makes everybody back off for 120 days ,zero actions can be taken by anybody . Gives you a time out . Now you have a stick to fight with . Say to the credit card company : I have XXXXX amount of dollars you will take this and work out arrangements or the XXXXX dollars I have will be used to start a bankruptcy ,take it or leave it !!!! They will roll over you if you allow it . My advise is wait and see if there better council from the others here . Most people don't have the stomach for playing hard ball with their credit and that's what my advise is . Hard ball!!!!
