      You stand erect and with your right arm at your side, bring your arm to the horizontal position and at the same time bring your outstretched palm to your head with the finger tips just above your ear.  If you have a loaded rifle to hand  you can raise it upward to point at the sky and then fire!  Make sure the rifle is pointing at the sky and not at the person you are saluting.

        I think it would depend on which branch of service or office you are with....... I know that A&M cadets differ their salutes than from Austin APD (I think....)...........

          I personnally don't salute folks. If I were in the service, I would think that would be a first to learn!
