The thing is my wife has cancer, it started in 2/09. She had urteral cancer and the lab evaluated the tissue as stage 1-5%. Everything went great, 3month checkups and all, then she started having leg pains but no doctor would do a MRI or anything just said your getting older (52). Finally they did the MRI after 11 mos, then a PET Scan, now quick back to the doctor and you have cancer. 6 1/2 hrs of surgery 1 inch big tumor on spine ruptured disc in lumbar, took out the appendix, dozens of biopsy's, and the doctor thinks the lab screwed up the first time and it should have been evaluated as stage 3. That would have meant chemo right then and we probably wouldn't be in this mess today, and he told her before the operation that even with chemo and radiation she would have only 8-10 years to live. How can you say something like that without going in first? I don't believe him, and were waiting for the results of the tissue from this operation. Anybody have a bit of an answer that I can wrap myself around?
