I did a bunch of research on this and came up with no hard and fast number . I typed insurance stats on life expectancy with copd . That was unproductive . Did how ever say that there were overlapping diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes that go hand in hand with this . I know as if life aint bad enough with one getting slammed with three sucks big time . You are not alone with this I have COPD  as well as high blood pressure and border line diabetic, who knows how long we will last ,just make the days count and run it wide open all ahead full until the rivets come out of the boiler. My housemate was diagnosed with it 10 or 15 years ago and he is still going strong, just has breathing troubles every now and then. I look to be made miserable by him for another 10 years...........

Bill,s right, live each day as if it,s your last. My Grandfather had it, and boy did he enjoy himself for 32yrs.
