How do you pronounce creche? I've never heard it used. Did you know it's a nursery as well as a nativiy scene?

CRAYSH. is as close as I can type it Itsmee. It's a reasonably common term used here in Australia for kindergarten/child minding.

That’s really interesting to me because I ran a daycare/preschool and wasn’t familiar with the word. I have a beautiful creche hand made out of wood. It took someone hours and hours to make it. I bought it at a garage sale for $3.00. There are about 20 pieces!
I teach my grandaughters that it’s a “craysh"

I looked this word up at     http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Creche  This site has a feature that you can hear the word pronounced.  Look in the upper left of the screen and you will seethe workd and a small audio speaker.  I sounded to me like "crutch"  Judge for yourself though

I will try that one. Thank you. My computer is jumping around and I don't know if it will speak to me today. If it does not speak I'll say "crutch" and tell people YOU told me. Ha.
