in my house growing up we were allowed to open one gift christmass eve and the rest christmas day, .. whats  the fun on christmas morning when all the gifts are open as well as disarayed..

winfia - all of my family and friends celebrate Christmas except those of a different religious persuasion but even some of those do little presents and gestures for the children. My personal family, we did not open presents until Christmas morning. The famous children's hospital in London - Great Ormond Street lit up like a Christmas tree at around 3am definitely after midnight and the children opened their Christmas presents - Santa had already been. I used to subscribe to "Life Magazine" now you mention it but not 1940 the year I was born.

Now come on lets get a few facts correct here - how can you open presents from Santa on Christmas Eve when he doesn't come down my chiminey until the early hours of Christmas morning when i'm asleep. You will all be saying that theres no such thing as Santa next!
