It will show you the location and name of their internet provider. Their internet provider can tack the IP to the actual residence. The internet provider will not share that information with you though.

If you have the IP address of the sender of an email you can know only the details of that IP address like IP location, country, ISP address,state, city, latitude & longitude etc... You cannot get the actual location of the sender of an email of the IP address. To know the details of an IP address visit the site Ip-Details.com .
