someone has sent me an email using this address. Is it from someone serving the US army or not? If not where can an address like that be made?

The official US army e-mail address is

    Template: " [firstname].[lastname]@us.army.mil"

Note, .mil (for .military, not .org) http://www.usafns.com/email.shtml#A2  Service men have to sign up for this e-mail address and prove they are in the military.

Anyone can create a .org e-mail address.

I have searched this and can not find anything on the internet showing that is comes from the US army. I do not believe this is a real organization.

What is the e-mail asking for?

    yes

is it the address used by an us army service man? Yes?
Can you please tell me more.

You can report his activities here. As I research more, all military communications are  .mil (dot mil) there is no .org (dot org)

    You're welcome.

it is from someone I've been in touch with for some time. I asked him to prove his identity and this was his way of doing that. He says it is from his private used army address........... still don't believe him and that is why I am asking. Will be really grateful if you can find an answer for me. I am in Sweden and don't know any real us army men to ask....................
