        I agree with you, in that, this is at least the fairest approach. I say this, in that it would allow the current guy to move on, rather than have his time wasted in a go nowhere situation.

        If you and him have an exclusive arrangement ,you need to tell him. Otherwise date who you want. A lot of people do date several different folks
