Existentialism is not a social science but a philosophical 'consideration' from defunct French-led nihilists in the early 20C.  It is not a 'Humanity' either as it specifically derides humanity. By the mid century it's main points had been demolished by Colin Wilson. It has historical value just as studying any dead-end has if it alerts one to avoiding wasting one's time and pursuing leads that go nowhere. See also Marxism, Feminism, Fascism, Trotskyism, Maoism and pretty well every other 'ism' of an anti-human sort.  We exist. Get on with it.
