    Can restitution be dropped if person is on disability?

    Aggressive, I would think not!  Too bad if they are on disability.  They need to cough it up.  Restitution is for a reason and it's not to make it easy on the offender.

    Disagree,Callus and unfounded supposition. Certain judgements have limits on their reach to recover. Judgements for accidents with injury have the most reach and less income items are exempt. Judgements for bills and civil litigation have greater exemptions for the defendant . Also depends on what court ordered the restitution ,Civil or Criminal .No mater what there are laws and procedures to follow without all the facts any advice given here is just blowing smoke into the wind .For some judgements your income tax refund can be taken without a word or a by your leave .Without all the facts I make no comment nor offer any advice beyond educate yourself and learn the rules .
