Yes he should go to jail and have his medical licence revoked.  He is a drug dealer not a doctor.  He was completey irresponsible and I for one am disgusted by his behaviour.  Micheal Jackson was sick and that man put the final nails in his coffin.

Whether you care for Michael Jackson not, that is not the point. This trial is not about Dr. Murray killing an entertainer, who happen to be Michael Jackson. This trial is about a DOCTOR who went against the medical profession and gave a man who was completely out of  control drugs that even he shouldn't had his hands on outside a hospital. This even happens to people who are not drug abusers. They get addicted to prescription drugs. Take myself, it would have been very easy for me to get addicted to pain medication  after my spine surgery. Everything went wrong. I was begging for it, ( I think it was codeine) but my DOCTORS said it is taking to long for me to heal and gave me Tylenol.  Tylenol, I couldn't believe it. I thought they didn't care and was just mean. 6 months I was in the hospital, and I just learned to adapt. I had an emergency and had to go to the hospital. The doctor in emergency assumed I was in pain and asked did I want pain medication. 

People in the entertainment business like Michael, Elvis, or every day people who have obligations will doctor search to get prescriptions drugs so they can do what they have to do.They can't say "I'm in pain or I'm too sick to fulfill my obligations.  I have a lot of  time on my hands. I have no job to get to, nor do I have a family to support. For cancer patients and other sick people who have extreme pain, prescription drugs are needed. If you are dying, I don't think it matters. But if your're not, it's a DOCTOR'S responsibility to treat patients with the best care whether the patients are famous or not.  A  DOCTOR don't become a drug dealer to the people they are caring for. Doctors takes an oath "I shall do no harm".  Dr. Murray became blinded by money and fame. He knew what he was doing was wrong because he used aliases to get drugs for Michael. Who's the doctor, Michael or Dr. Murray? 

For TSC who posted that picture of Michael. keep in mind that Michael do have a family that loves him. I'm sure you have one too. I bet it would hurt you to see one of your family members on the internet (that will be there forever) in death. It will hurt your family to see you like that. Don't make light of a bad situation. 

Yes. As a Doctor,he schould have tried  to help him get off of those drugs, rather than enabling him more.

I don't think he should. If that doctor wouldn't give him what he wanted he'd have found another. Money will buy what you want good or bad. The only thing you can't buy is good health.

The Hippocratic oath states: First do no harm.... He should never practice medicine again and he won't. Jail? I don't know, he's been punished enough I think...........

Good point that the trial is about a Doctor who Might had was on obsean money and was looking after a PAITiENT (not MJ) is was after all the Paiteint  and Yes I do agree he should go to jail after all he should have declined any more drugs.... do drug addicts get what they want No they dont they get the normal dose of metherdone ect.. so he should have been firm and said NO

Should a bartender go to jail for selling a drunk too many drinks and then he goes out and killes someone?

If the prisons are to full in California let him do his time somewhere else. Also If he is a millionare from being Michael's doctor, he should pay for his own room and board and medical expenses. If an audit finds he has the money then no state should have to pay for his keep.

In response to Ed1530 in our state if a bartender knowing sells drinks to someone who is already drunk and lets him leave the bar, the bartender can be held responsible for the drunk's actions.
