      A Monet could be a reference to any painting done by Claude Monet.  In art a piece is often referred to as a .... Monet or a Picasso for example.

        A Monet is a painting by the famous Master Painter Claude Monet (14 November 1840 - 5 December 1926)  The founder of French Impressionist painting.  When one says they have a Monet - they really have something and are usually very wealthy to have acquired such a piece.
