It has baffled me as well.  I can't imagine how that family lives with the memories.

I think the child's death was an accident and the people there went into panic survival mode like other cases we have seen recently. Many are frighten of police when we see them build a case based on unsupportable assertion, lies and deliberate distortions. Add to that the widespread belief in the need for confidentiality, fear of betrayal and dishonorable witnesses, and the secret lives of frightened people and we have a stew-pot of unsavory characters bubbling to the top with a myriad of ugly pronouncements.

I doubt we will ever know. But it seems whoever did this, had some knowledge about the family and the house. I dont believe it was a stranger.

I always suspected the mother (since deceased) but she never cracked under the questioning and speculation so who knows.

A very sad case.

Very baffling the same as the Madelenne Mcann case in England.Her dissapearance is still a mystery.
