If any person seriously researches the "Fair Tax" they will find that it would solve almost every major problem in our country. How can it be that it is not already in effect?

The "Fair Tax" (not to be confused with "Flat tax" or "value added tax") if implimented, would solve almost every major problem we are dealing with in this country at this time (i.e. unemployment, value of dollar, national security, illegal immigration, international trade, strength of economy, etc).

Taxes may be a part of the " Cure " , but the out of control spending will certainly have to stop. Spending is the key and the more the government spends, the deeper the whole. No tax program yet can fix our economy no matter what, if the spending isn't controlled.

There is still a  great deal of debate about whether the tax is really that fair. It's one thing to read the book and think, "Wow, that's really fantastic" and to know what you are talking about. There are quite a few experts that still have some valid questions about it.
