Thank you Bluesman you are so right. 1900 oh wow Victorian. What can I say now about my darling Lily - loved her so - miss her so. I live in the basement of a house with six flats and this couple were renting the flat above me and in the year 2000 would you believe cannot believe exactly as I have had so many cats come and live here over the years. Lily was found in Ridley Road Market, in Hackney, this market is so smelly - lots of dried fish which I am sure was the attraction. This guy took her home - he was friends to couple upstairs - and he went to Mexico - Lily must have been approx. 2yrs - so they asked me to take her - he gave them his contact details to give me.
It was just so funny - Ruth and her partner came down with her - I took her onto my bed and at the time I had two other cats - WHO sat on the floor at the end of the bed just starring and looked like they were saying AND what is this? So she stayed and for the last two years or so became housebound - she was Black like Westbus's not so sleek but got a bit tubby and then when I came from the hospital 31st Aug. a week or so later she was in the kitchen by her food bowl upside down on her back and wriggling - I thought Lily are you having a fit - and then thought - no she just got stuck. I noticed after this the water bowls were depleting quicker than usual and I was changing her litter so often and the ammonia smell would just blow your mind - I thought then she is in renal failure and the last straw was she did have a full blown fit on the kitchen floor and passed some pee pee and a few little vomits and this was it for her - R.I.P. This is the sad thing about animals - everyone knows this sad when they leave us - I have seen so much death in my life. Don't quite know what it is but I had a male friend who picked up a tramp on the train and brought him here to have a bath and change of cloths - not sure if he spent the night.probably my friend drove him home . Sounds like I had nothing to do (like now) I was crazy busy.

I have just stumbled on this posting and I would like to help you out. In the search-box type-time in london- read my answer carefully and you should have a pretty good idea of my age (within 5 years).

There are several questions with london time on the page so make sure you click on time in london
Nearly everyone on this site has the same birthday all born on the 1st of January, some with the year or in the nineties - not all have been disclosed. I have far too much on my profile it would seem. I am truly impressed with west-bus's cat - just like my Lily was.
