I love to read a lot but I am not much one on reading romance novels, and the like; I more like autobiographies, biographies and true stories about real people and their take on life and their experiences in life I guess this is my way of trying to learn from others what others would not even give me the time of day for. But that does not negate others who love to read the romance novels and the like I think it takes all of us to make the world a learning place.

Just do not get the re: autobiographies, biographies, and true stories - learn from others but do not assume that they would not give you the time of day. I do not read Romantic novels either a bit too unrealistic for me BUT a good love story film - I'm watching - like all sorts psychology, philosophy auto and biographies and true stories.

the only thing i read is real life stuff from Q&A......

What is your question? I was not much of a reader in my high school years. I considered myself a slow reader and even took a remedial reading course. But as an English major in college, I was forced into reading a book a week and more. Now I read constantly. Both fiction and non-fiction. I especially love SF/Fantasy and Historic novels, biographies, autobiographies, and personal growth books. Currently I have 4 books going: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz,  Coming to Age: The Croning Years and Late-Life Transformation by Jane Pretat, I'm Too Young To Be Seventy, by Judith Viorst and Cassenova's Memoirs edited (from the original 12 volumes!) by Joseph Monet, pubished in 1930 - a book I picked up at Salvation Army for a dollar!

My OL reads a book a day or more. I gave her a Kindle when the local libraries were shut down over budget problems here and in the state. Since then she has continued to read avidly and she has over 100 books stored on her Kindle. It is in a pdf format so its not some weird code to access and the price is reasonable. The Public libraries on-line are working to put files and books on-line and available too. There are autobios on line in many locations, the site for the nobel prize people have files of prize winners autobios that are a very good read in my opinion.

I have always been a reader. My taste is like Darci's.

i have already said this I had a very intelligent Australian friend who read romantic stories by the bucket load - Mills and Boon - penny dreadfuls but said to be good for the psyche.

I love to read. About 10 years ago I began reading "HOW TO" books on all sorts of subjects and I can't seem to read anything else.... it will probably change in another 10 years.....
