If you are having problems with your stomach i.e. not abdomen - good idea to have blood test for Helicobacter Pylorus - found in the hydrochlric acid in the stomach - discovered by a New Zealand guy ( this being quite amazing and revolutionary and not so long ago - in the last decade)  and this bacteria is responsible for over 90% of stomach ulcers and can be treated a weeks course of medication - of course while doing this very important as Yvonne says to talk with your Doctor re your symptoms.

Mo1234, Stomach cancer can be treated when it is caught early. Unfortunately by the the time that the signs of stomach cancer start to show, the condition has typically already spread to other organs and parts of the body. One of the earliest symptoms of stomach cancer is internal bleeding on a microscopic level. Regrettably, this can only be detected through medical tests that are designed to detect traces of blood in your stool. If you loose too many of your healthy red blood cells as a result of this bleeding, you may also experience tiredness or weakness. Other symptoms associated with early stomach cancer include abdominal pain and heart burn, but these symptoms can be mistaken for other underlying causes in many cases.

When left untreated, advanced stomach cancer can be fatal, so it is important that you consult a doctor if you notice any unusual changes.
