Qantas grounded. Do I care?
So, an 'Industrial Dispute' has grounded Qantas. I am an Australian and it is my 'national carrier'. But I am a MAN and Qantas has always discriminated against men as a matter of policy. So do I care that it is grounded? My lack of care is what happens to sexist organisations. Tough.

No, Grit Savage. I do not seek that 'right' so there is no need for you to be disturbed. But you are putting the same misandric spin on it as the airlines do. Why should Julia Gillard be able to sit next to a child but Kevin Rudd not? Why should an airline - or you - think that Hilary Clinton is a safer person than Barack Obama? Gloria Steinham could sit next to a child but Nelson Mandela would be forbidden. And just because of gender.

They were on the way down anyway. I think that Joyce is already at work in the filipines, gathering people to man the planes and counters. He's a tricky one and one step ahead of everyone else. Qantas used to be good, the pilots are very good. But since the planes have had exploding engines and so forth and so forth it's risky travelling in them.
