There have been too many incidents on Yahoo Questions and Answers were I and other Christians take time to research and prepare an answer to a religious question and sometimes while typing the answer it vanishes or just after its finished and before you can submit it it vanishes without a trace not even in the history to where you might be able to retrieve it and submit. This has become so frequent that the last 2 times this occurred I predicted it was going to happen because of the nature of the question.
In their objective they say that they want people to share what they know and to me if the question is serious it deserves a well prepared truthful to the best of my knowledge answer. If the question is a serious breach of the truth that shows the asker's total ignorance then he deserves an answer that is instructive as well as corrective in nature.
What type of forum would this be if belief systems are considered to be all inclusive, the first casualty would be truth itself and learning would be worthless. Therefore my question is it possible for a website to monitor an answer while it is being written and if so is it legal to abscond with it as though it were never written preventing your effort for the points?
I have seen racist or sexually perverse questions there to answer but after taking time to answer it both question and answer are deleted. At least twice I have complained to Yahoo about this and have never received a reply.

First, we are not Yahoo answers so I can not answer for them or what they may or may not be doing with answers.
As for your question:
"Therefore my question is it possible for a website to monitor an answer while it is being written and if so is it legal to abscond with it as though it were never written preventing your effort for the points?"
No, it is not possible to monitor an answer as it is being typed. The only thing the administration of a website can do to make sure nothing is posted that they do not want posted is to screen the answers after they are submitted. What you are encountering may be a glitch in their system and you should report it to the site administration. If the admin choose not to answer you then there's not much you can do about it.
It is legal for the owners of a website to run their site any ol way they wish to. You are a guest on their forum or application. They can decide not to allow you access for any reason they wish. It is their site. But again, as far as apps like this go, there is no way anyone can see what you are typing as you are typing it. My best suggestion is, type out your answer in a note pad first and then copy/paste it to the answer box of the question that was asked. This way if it disappears, you have it to copy and paste again.
