If ghosts go through walls and glide down stairs, why don't they fall through the floor?

They can go through floors if they like... they can do what ever, when ever ...it''s a ghostly thing to float around down stairs and through walls ........... ghostly theatrical.  I suppose if they came through the ceiling you would see their feet first and they in turn would not see your reaction ... ghostly theatrical wouldn't apply.  It's all about the reaction similar to when the audience claps.  No one claps for the ghost but they do get buggy eyed.  The reaction must look funny actually....suddenly white as a sheet and buggy eyed and In my case, a faint to finish it off.

Theres nothing down there to scare!!

If they wanted to, they would........

ghosts  are made of air as well as their stories so what else would keep them afloat..
