Pints and Quarts, bars used to sell drinks in pints and quarts. When someone was drinking a little too much, the bartender would say, "Mind your P's and Q's!" That's how the phrase got started.

That was one I did not know. thanks

    Something you should MIND.  :)

There is no set explanation as to where it started or what it means exactly. See here: http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/mind-your-ps-and-qs.html

I always thought that mind your P's and Q's was an old expression meaning "mind your manners" or in other words, "behave yourself"!  I have no idea where it originated or what P's and Q's actually stands for.

Old English Version Pints&Quarts,But it is MIND UR BUSINESS as a pun.
