    You must be talking about my wife.

    Plugged drain hole. Thats what mine was. It took the service guy ten minutes to fix.If I had known that's all it was I wouldn't have called a service guy.

    Your drain tube maybe plugged<check drain on bottom.

    There are dishwashing soaps that will clog a dishwasher by building up inside the plumbing. The other writers here are right-on. I strip appliances for parts and to see why they failed. The soap buildup problem is the result of using cheap detergent that will not dissolve in boiling water on a stove top. You might check your detergent to see if it is going to fowl your washer or not.
