    what is a quick fix for a leaking heater core ?

    Car ???? Remove hoses and put in a piece of tubing the correct size install two small hose clamps and by pass heater core all together. Then have it removed and either repaired or replaced. All other stuff chemicals and pep Boys stuff is a waste of time. Just fix it .       Bill

    They make a stop Leak,but it does more harm than good.The best is to relace the Heater Core.
    I'm having the same trouble,bluesman is right about the stop leak stuff,it's a waste of money.I picked up a new heater core and having it replaced in my van,(I can't bypass it,seeing that I live in a cold state and winter's on its way).So again like bluesman said,get it fixed right or replace it.

    You can try Stop Leak by Barsall,but it proves to be more harm tan good.The best answer is o replace the Heater Core.
