    Can I spray Lacquer Clear-coat over a Urethane Base Coat?

    I tend to think  the lacquer coat will flake off.  I have looked up the chemical composition and I am not completey sure ... I would go to the paint store nearest you and ask the professionals....  Or test a small unnoticable part ... I will say that it can take up to 6 months for a water base to begin to flake and bubble off of an oil base.  You may need to be very patient while waiting for results.

    It will most likely "Fry" the urethane. You should be able to use a poly-urethane clear tho.

    Test an area... I know you can't shoot lacquer over enamel.. That's a no..  Try a test area..

    This all depends on what the Lacquer is made up of !
