HANDS OF A STRANGER  is without a doubt the scariest movie I ever saw in my life.  I wasn't even 10 when I saw it and am haunted to this day.  It was about a pianist who was in an accident returning home from a concert.  His hands were destroyed and had to be amputated. But the doctors had a still-warm cadaver from the prison and took the hands from the corpse, attaching them to the pianist. 
Although the transplant was successful, the pianist could not play the piano with the hands of that stranger.  He couldn't control them... Angrier and more frustrated he became, until he pretty much went mad.  He went to the home of the cab driver who had been driving him when the accident occurred.  He had lost his eyesight, but wasn't bitter. 
I won't tell you any more, but, trust me, as a little girl who took piano lessons, it was a very disturbing film.
