I am not going to be the bearer of bad news.

I figured it out but, I kept my mouth shut about it...Santa was always good to us kids... I remember telling my son that there was no Santa and he thought about it and then said, "I suppose there is no Easter Bunny either.....?"

My parents, bless them, did not teach me Santa. So I was the only kid in school up till about the 4th grade who knew the truth of the matter and I felt rather important because of it.

I was disappointed. I used to go out Christmas morn to see if there were sleigh marks on our roof!

I was disappointed.  I was told by a friend's angry mother (she was always angry about something) and she said that anyone who believed in Santa Claus at my age was just plain stupid!!!!! Can you be considered stupid at age 7???     LOL     She hurt my feelings and made my mother angry.

She sure was. I can still visualize her demeanor to this day.

Truthfully, I can't even remember whose Mom she was. I only remember her general demeanor and how miserable she was and that I didn't see her very often. She was rather frightening to me.

 Not easy question to answer, well I hope he comes to me this year.

Don't know how i can let you down gently.

Ducka i know how you feel.  My mom asked me to help her wrap gifts, when i was 7.  Talk about hurt feelings.  Because i knew santa came down that chimney every year.  but i still believe in santa,  i am now a santa helper now.

  He is real and I wont stand for anyone WHO says he is not!

After I started making the chocolate chips on the cookies that got left out for Santa out of Ex-Lax, I felt vindicated for all those years of deception I was subjected to!!! (Just kidding!)

We still have the tooth fairy too. When I was about seven, I figured it out and then I went to school and told the other kids that there was no Santa. They didn't believe me, the  poor little sods. I'll bet they do now.

I felt disillusioned, cheated, depressed, angry. It was so good and real and exciting while it lasted. Why did they have to tell me?

Just thinking about this question.Isnt it funny how you drill into your kids the importance of stranger danger then take them to you local dept. store to sit on a strangers knee?Im just being overly cynical now arent i?It was just a thought...

He is real!!!!!Ive seen him in the co op!!!!!Joking apart,what i could never understand was why,  if presents were supposedly from Santa,did they have "love from aunty whoever" on the tags

I had gifts that said from Santa. Maybe you were a bad and aunty felt bad and pretended to be Santa ;)

I found the fact that my parents  had lied to me as a collective indicator that they also lied to themselves about other issues and that I needed to trust them with reservation, discover the truth on my own and seek my own council. In many respects this benefitted me far more than they realized. 

anagram santa...............satan...................not a christian holiday. was brought up on santa, though. wont deny the kids their fun and festivities ah well, another story another time

Why must everything be made into Satan if it does not conform with the Christian religion? How sad that the religion fears different ideas.

I was more disappointed when I found out Mary Poppins was not real. Everyday I would look up towards the sky to see if she was sitting atop a cloud.

One is suspect of Santa until the deffinitive answer is revealed and then it is fun to be in on the myth and pay it forward for other kids. It's a gentle and wonderful myth. Happiest of holidays everyone!

He does exist!! I sat on his lap at the mall last year!

Santa doesnt need sat nav and NASA cos hes magic!!!Trust me,i know and by pure coincidence have just applied to be his PR!!

No but NASA needs a tracker so his sleigh is now equipped with a GPS. ;)

I am Santa Have been many times for many little ones .This year I will send 250.00 to Smile Train and somewhere in the world a child with a cleft palet will get her face fixed and a smile to face the world with for all her days . Somewhere this little one believes that Santa will answer her prayers  for a smile . I dont intend to disappoint her . I have no idea where this money will come from ,but I have lots of stuff made and ready to sell all my art work .I believe this will happen but there are many requests this year and I could use some prayers .Say a word to God  for me if you can . There is a Santa for I am he ,and I see in you a Santa as well . Maybe there might be enough to give two smiles this year ,I sure hope so. Now on behalf of Santas every where I bid you GOOD NIGHT !!!!!
