I have a complete lack of imagination so I am stuck with my wife.  

I collect ring tabs for no purpose except to fill whiskey and wine and gin bottles up with them. I have about 36 filled and yes, If I hear of a valid charity that can use them, I'll donate the whole 8 years of collecting....

I like reading and gardening and messing around her. I think I'm addicted!

Along with what Benthere said, I do projects like the solar water heating system I am installing a little each day. I collect and make tools (antique reproductions) and odd gadgets that most folk never heard of like retortes, bomb-caloremeters, electronic gadgets, rattle-backs (a celtic stone used in a game of chance) , whistles and some really odd things. AkaQA of course and chickens.    

robertgrist that great!  You know i think we all do that to some extend . . . collect things that interest us and that we like.  i love collecting dice, and different shape bottles.  Even tho i don't have that many.  But glass bottles are so beautiful to me. And dice remind me how each of our lives are a 'roll of the dice.'  What we get is what we get.  Deal with it . . .happily.

I collect clocks and watches hence the reason the house sounds like a bomb!!Worse day of the year is when the clocks change...
