When you send a command to your printer to print a file the computer takes this file and places it in a 'spooler' or 'buffer' for printing.. Its a temporary holding-- memory (ram).. You can learn more about 'Print Spooling' by searching the subject on Google. Print Spooling was a common problem in earlier windows systems.
