    REFLEXOLOGY and ESSENTIAL OILS

The other night, a friend asked me to attend a demo for R & EO.  The food was delicious and I simply felt healthy eating & drinking, even the chocolate wine and blended tequila drinks.  I've long been a believer in the benefits and veracity of reflexology, but the oils were something new to me; I purchased some and am using them in various ways.
Question:  Is anyone practicing and/or using reflexology and/or essential oils in daily life?   If so, what oils and why.  What benefits do you feel you have received?
FOR EVERYONE:  Are there any natural cures you use to cure what ails you?

Not sure about bergamot, though have heard of it. I DO have one I go to when I need a burst of cleansing energy and that is Tea Tree oil. LOVE that scent, almost can't get enough of it. Even bought a high quality Tea Tree shampoo that I love and really invigorates me and wakes me in the AM, which is superb because I am NOT a morning person!! How does bergamot make you feel better? In what way? More adjectives please!!

Bergamot is sorta citrus-y and from Italy, according to my "cheat sheet". It is helpful in dealing with addictions, bronchitis, calming, chicken pox, chronic fatigue, cold sores, eczema, fear, feber, gallstones, herpes, hot flashes, kills insects, PMS, regulates excessive oiliness of the skin or scalp, sore throat, tones the heart, uplifting, vaginal itching and wounds (note that was in ABC order).
I chose it for the calming, fear, and cold sore relief, along with the toning of the heart, and especially the uplifting part

I think it smells like lemon or orange zest with a little bit of pepper. I don't feel as stressed with that smell nearby. I'll be checking on Tea Tree oil. Happy week.

Never heard of it. However, a natural cure for what ails me (stress) is avoid all human contact.

I use essential oils for a variety of things.  I use them for relaxing in the tub...I put citrus based oils in the water when I am washing the floors to energize and to naturally repel the unwanted bugs.  I use essential oils in diffusers around the house ... people have commented that my house smells like a hippy house ... whatever that means.  I love it.

I use phytoplancton for my environmental allergies and it is the only thing that works and kelp to regulate the ph in my body...which is very important.

thank you, fish girl. really good idea about the floors. i just found a lizard in my kitchen sink....not sure who was more freaked out, it or me.

I have read about and have books on reflexology and have practiced it a bit. I use it for sinuses, hemorrhoids and headache pain from time to time. Would love to learn and practice more but with someone much more experienced in that arena. Just haven't seeked that person out yet. EO I know next to nothing about but from what I have read they are powerful, especially when used in the correct way. Would love to know more and practice that healing art form as well.  Have always had a keen interest in the healing arts,  traditional AND alternative. If  I'd have steered my life in a different direction, I think I would ideally been involved there. I know, it's not too late, but is always in the back of my mind for when I feel the time is right to make a move. Good luck in you quest Bob/PKB!!  And have fun, too!

Thanks for your reply, michmar118. Just having the smell of bergamot on a rope-style bracelet makes me feel better. I put a drop on the bracelet and it's great. I can mix the oils in food, as well as in my shampoo and conditioner, even in my anti-aging creams and lotions. It's amazing.
When I look 35 again, I'll be completely sold on them!

PS. When you feel or look 35 again because of any EO, PLEASE share your find, and I would also do the same!!!

One oil i find beneficial is Lavender oil,if you massage it into the back of your neck and the temples it elliviates tension headaches, and you can also dab it onto your pillow for a relaxing nights sleep.
