    I never said I was and this is algebra...yuck! I am good at problem solving...they are like puzzles.

    3x + 2y = 10                        3x + 2y = 1


    2y = -3x + 10                       2y = -3x + 1


    2y/2 = -3x/2 + 10/2              2y/2 = -3x/2 + 1/2


    y = -3/2x + 5                          y = -3/2x + 1/2


    The two lines are parallel because they have the same slope (m = -3/2), but different y-intercepts.
