    Does the medicine "Coumadin" have rat poison in it? (Someone told me so) thanks for answering.

    Yes, it is rat poison. It is called Coumadin when it is being used to treat humans and it is called Warfarin when used to kill mice and rats.

    Mice and rats ingest the Warfarin which thins the blood. When the mice and rats squeeze their bodies through all those tight little places, this causes them to hemorrhage and die.

    It is simply a blood thinner.  If you are a big fat, tall human and take small amounts, it keeps your blood from cloting when you don't want it to.  If you're a rat and eat enough of it, it will make you bleed to death.  It has been very successful in both instances.
